Earth’s Atmosphere – students will understand that the atmosphere is divided into layers which are classified according to temperature changes with altitude.
Atmosphere: Energy Transfer – students will learn that there are three types of thermal energy transfer that work together to heat the troposphere.
Winds & Water – for this concept, students will be able to classify clouds according to shape, then further classify them by their altitude.
Air Quality – using the Air Quality Index created by the EPA, students will graph data and use that information along with the AQI to identify sources of pollution for three different cities.
