You’ve told me how Nitty Gritty Science has helped you and your students…now you have a chance to SHOW how you and your students are getting down to the “Nitty Gritty” in science education!
How to Enter:
1. Take a photo or video of a Nitty Gritty Science product in action. Examples include (but are not limited to):
· student-completed interactive notebook
· Creation Station models on test day
· students working at science stations (no faces please)
· teacher doing demo
2. Post your photo/video to your Instagram or Facebook account using #NittyGrittySnapshot and make sure to tag @nittygrittyscience for your chance to win one of the monthly prizes.
Each photo posted is an entry into contest, so keep the photos coming! There is no limit on the number of entries per person. Entries are valid for the entirety of the contest.

So, what are the prizes you say?? Well, that’s where you come in. I’ve asked science teachers on my Facebook page what was on their classroom wish list and there’s plenty! I’ll be grabbing my prizes from these ideas – you can check out and add to the post here:

Winners will be chosen by me and the prize will be picked randomly by the “wheel of prizes”. Tune into Facebook Live – I’ll announce day and time for each winner announcement.

CONTEST SCHEDULE. The contest begins September 1, 2016, at 12:01 a.m. EST, and ends April 30, 2017, at 11:59 p.m. EST.
PRIZES (one per month). During the scheduled contest, I will choose a winner each month to receive a prize from the prize wheel.
SELECTION OF WINNERS. The winners will be selected from the entries on or about the last day of each month. I will notify each winner, within a reasonable amount of time after each selection has been made, through the account the winner used to post their entry. Notification will be from the official Nitty Gritty Science social media account listed under Enter for Your Chance to Win above, and will either be a direct message or a comment on the entry.
CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION. Once a winner has been notified, the winner will have 90 days to claim prize. If the prize is not claimed by the expiration date, it will be considered null and void.
ELIGIBILITY. Nitty Gritty Science employees and contracted representatives, their immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) and their household members (whether related or not) are not eligible to participate. This promotion is void where prohibited by law, and you must be 18 or older at the time of the entry.
ADDITIONAL TERMS. We may, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law and in our sole discretion, change these Official Rules or cancel the promotion at any time; or modify, terminate, or suspend the promotion should viruses, worms, bugs, unauthorized human intervention, or other causes beyond our control corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness, or proper play of the promotion or submission of entries.
Posted content must be original and not copied, in whole or part, from any other source; must not violate the rights of any third party; must not be inappropriate (e.g. include obscenity, hate speech, and so on); and must not advocate violent or reckless behavior.
MISCELLANEOUS. You agree that our decisions related to this promotion and all selections are final. Each winner agrees that, by participating in the promotion, we may use the winner’s name, image, or likeness in any manner and in any medium for our promotional purposes without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law.
